Report a scam or a problem

If someone contacted you claiming to be us and something felt wrong, your instinct is worth trusting. Here is how to check, and how to tell us.

How to recognise us

Our website is maroufadeyemi.org. Any other domain is not us.
We write only from addresses ending in @maroufadeyemi.org.
Donations go only through the channels listed on our Donate page.
We never ask for a fee from candidates or participants, at any stage, for anything.
We never ask for passwords, card PINs, or remote access to your device.
We never pressure anyone to pay quickly, and we do not use gift cards or private crypto wallets other than those published on our Donate page.

If you think you have been targeted

Stop the payment if you can, and contact your bank immediately — many transfers can still be recalled within a short window. Do not send further money to anyone promising to recover what you lost; that is usually a second fraud.

Keep the evidence: screenshots, the sender address, the account details you were given, and the times. Then report it to the police, which you can do online in most German states.

Tell us as well. We cannot recover your money, but we can warn others, take down what we can, and give your evidence to the authorities alongside anything else we have received.

Report it to us

Write to service@maroufadeyemi.org with the subject "Scam report". Include what you received, from which address or number, and what was asked of you. If you prefer to write to the board directly, use vorsitzender@maroufadeyemi.org.

Problems with this website — a broken link, a form that fails, a page that will not load — go to the same address. Tell us the page and what you did, and we will fix it.

If you are in immediate danger

Call 110 in Germany. For fraud that is already under way, contact your bank first and the police straight afterwards.
